Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Under general supervision, the heavy equipment mechanic independently performs the full range ofmaintenance and repair duties on a wide variety of vehicles and equipment, including automobiles, heavy andlight duty trucks, off-road equipment, small engine powered equipment and operate a variety of hand, powerand shop tools and perform related work as assigned. This classification requires specialized knowledge, skillsand experience in equipment maintenance. This position will report directly to the Maintenance Manager.
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Two (2) years of experience in the maintenance and repair of vehicles and/or heavy construction equipment
Highly developed knowledge of gasoline and diesel engines, standard/automatic transmissions, hydraulic systems, cooling systems and electrical systems
Strong initiative and independent judgement
Strong teamwork, verbal, and written skills
Possess a Class B driver’s license or certification of technical school training in automotive, heavy duty truck or off-road equipment mechanics
Location Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Relocation available within the US.
Reporting to the site EHS Manager, the incumbent will be responsible to align Environmental, Health, and Safety processes with business goals and to engage employees to promote behaviors that will achieve the highest levels of productivity in the safest possible manner. The incumbent will establish, implement and oversee all EHS programs.
