The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene is seeking a Radiation Field Scientist (Scientist Level II) to join the Office of Radiological Health, Bureau of Environmental Sciences and Engineering in Queens.

This full-time position involves conducting field inspections of medical and research facilities that use radiation-producing equipment, evaluating compliance with NYC Health Code and applicable state and federal regulations, performing equipment testing, reviewing radiation safety and quality-control programs, documenting inspection findings, and participating in emergency preparedness and response activities.
