1. Seneca Lake Resorts Breast Cancer 5K
Date: Saturday, August 1, 2026
Location: Seneca Lake Resorts at Sampson Park, Romulus, NY
Distance: 5K run/walk
Registration fee: $20
Cause: Breast cancer support, education, advocacy, and research
This noncompetitive event is open to all ages and experience levels. Registration payments and donations benefit the Breast Cancer Coalition and its services for patients and survivors.

2. Monster Classic 5K & 10K Road Races
Date: Sunday, August 2, 2026
Location: Resorts World Catskills, Monticello, NY
Distances: 5K run, 10K run, and 5K walk
Registration fee: $34.30 in advance; plus applicable fees, Price increases after August 1, 2026
Cause: Sullivan County Veterans Coalition
Presented by the Monticello Rotary Club, this long-running Catskills event supports local veterans facing financial hardship, including assistance with housing, utilities, groceries, and transportation.
Monster Classic 5K & 10K Road Races
3. Race of Hope Southampton 5K
Date: Sunday, August 2, 2026
Location: Agawam Park, Southampton, NY
Distance: 5K run/walk
Registration fee: $55 through August 1; $60 on race day
Cause: Depression research and public awareness
The scenic course circles Lake Agawam and welcomes individuals, families, and corporate teams. Proceeds support the Hope for Depression Research Foundation.

4. Bad Blood 5K Run
Date: Thursday, August 6, 2026
Location: Siena University, Albany, NY
Distance: 5K run; 2.5K walk also available
Registration fee: $35 plus a $3.10 processing fee; $45 on race day
Cause: Support for local families affected by blood cancer
5. Robert Van Tassel “Live the Dash” Memorial 5K
Date: Sunday, August 9, 2026
Location: Chelsea Fire Company, Chelsea, NY
Distance: 5K; one-mile children’s race also available
Registration fee: $25 plus a $2.50 processing fee
Cause: Chelsea Fire Company and a scholarship for Beacon High School students
The race honors Robert Van Tassel, a longtime fire service leader and runner. Proceeds support the Chelsea Fire Company and scholarships recognizing sportsmanship, integrity, and commitment.

6. Trot for Trauma 5K
Date: Saturday, August 22, 2026
Location: Thomas Bull Memorial Park, Montgomery, NY
Distance: 5K run/walk
Registration fee: $35 through August 17; $40 afterward, plus applicable fees
Cause: Trauma recovery, PTSD awareness, and accessible mental health services
Proceeds benefit Nourish Non-Profit and help provide low-cost or free trauma-informed mental health services and community programs.
