Rain Couldn’t Stop the HRV Chapter Summer Social

06/23/2026

A sunset sail on the Hudson River, breathtaking views, meaningful networking with safety professionals from across the region, and live violin music creating an elegant atmosphere — that is what we were supposed to enjoy.

However, as our Past President Rob Labbe noted, two inches of rain could have washed out any event. Instead, quick thinking, flexibility, and teamwork turned a weather challenge into a memorable indoor gathering.

Our new President, Jacky, officially began her term with an event that showcased the energy and enthusiasm of the HRV Chapter, and the best is yet to come.

Thanks to the hospitality of Round Table Brewery, our event went on despite the last-minute change of plans.

The evening included the installation of our 2026–2027 Chapter Officers, recognition of our sponsors, and a special recognition for our outgoing President.

Of course, the Hudson River views were enjoyed mostly by those who took the scenic route before finding the brewery. But the sight of colleagues catching up with old friends, making new connections, and enjoying great conversations and appetizers more than made up for it. Some attendees even had the unique experience of hearing violin music inside a brewery for the first time.

Stay tuned for upcoming announcements, and don’t forget to register for future chapter events!
